Members of the South Metro Health Alliance (SMHA) will be at the Bemis Library Parking Lot, 6014 S Datura Street, Littleton, CO 80120 on Monday, June 16, 2014 from 9am to 1pm for the ‘Community Accessing Resources Together’ event for underserved and people in need in our community.
Community Accessing Resources Together is a free event helping the community with assistance and information on medical services, health coverage, food and other resources. There will be free dental screenings and oral health education for children (0-18), free heart healthy screenings for adults, and free & confidential pregnancy assistance, ultrasound scans, consultation and options counseling. In addition, people will be offered free help and guidance with the Colorado health insurance exchange; Medicaid, CHP(+) and Medicare enrollment; finding a primary care physician; SNAP (formerly food stamps) application process; screening for all federal nutrition programs; referrals to food pantries and free meals; information on child and senior nutrition programs; questions about food assistance; housing; plus other community services.
